For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourself Ep 2:8
Bible:
We believe all Scripture contained in the New and Old Testaments are verbally, plenarily, and inerrantly inspired by God. (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pe 1:21; Mt 4:4, 5:17-18)
God:
We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Dt 6:4; Mt 28:19; 1 Pe 1:2)
Jesus Christ:
We believe the Son, Jesus Christ, is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit through Mary and led a sinless life. He died for the sins of man, shed His literal blood, was buried and rose again. He ascended and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. (Heb 1:3,8; John 1:1, 14)
Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates man at salvation. He fills and seals those to ensure the eternal security of believers. He indwells the Christian enabling a godly life. (Acts 2:4; 4:8; Eph 1:13; 4:30; Ro 8:9 Gal 5:22-23)
Man:
We believe that man was created in the image of God and by His own choice and willful decision fell into sin. This fall plunged man into a state of sin and spiritual death. From this condition man can be saved only by the grace of God, through faith in Christ. Regeneration being the agency of the Holy Spirit. (Ro 3:10, 23; Eph 2:8-9; John 3:6)
Salvation:
We believe salvation is a gift from God. When one believes on Jesus for the promise of eternal life one is saved. Salvation is by grace through faith. Salvation is never by works or any other gospel. (John 3:16; Eph 2:8-9)
Church:
We believe the church is the Body of Christ on earth. We are His representatives and ambassadors to mankind. It is the function of the church to fulfill the Great Commandment to love and the Great Commission to reach the lost and build His church through evangelism, preaching, and discipling. (Eph 4:12; Mt 28:19-20)
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in the body of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 1:10; Pp 2:2)
We believe in the stewardship of our lives; that our minds, talents, time and money, our health, our loved ones and all things belong to the Lord; that we will be called upon to give account of our management of them for His glory. We believe God’s work should be supported by tithes and offerings from cheerful hearts (1 Corinthians 16:2; Luke 16:10-12; Matthew 10:8; 2 Corinthians 8:12; Malachi 3:8).
End Times:
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:29)
We believe Christ will return to rapture His church. Following will be a seven-year tribulation period. At the conclusion of this Christ will return to the earth and establish a 1,000-year reign. Following this will be the White Throne Judgment of the unsaved unto damnation. (1 Thes 4:16-17; Da 9:24-27; Rev 20:1-7)
Sin and death conquered; believers will spend eternity with the Lord on the New Earth in His glorious kingdom. (1 Thes 5:10; Rev 21:1-3)
Divine Ethics:
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen 1:26-27) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen. 2:18-25) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4.) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.
We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt. 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Ps 101:3)
We believe that in order to preserve the function and spiritual integrity of this Church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the Church’s members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by this Church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement of Faith. (Matt. 5:16; Phil. 2:14-16; 1 Thess. 5:22)
We believe that God is not a respecter of persons and offers redemption and restoration to whosever believes in Christ as Savior. (Acts 10:34; Rom. 2:11; Dt 10:17)
We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Ps. 139)
Final Authority:
The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of this Church’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our pastor (and Elders,) are this Church’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
